Introducing webhooks at Kyriba

By Laurent Chollet
Senior API Product Manager, Kyriba

We are thrilled to announce that we have expanded our API offering with the introduction of webhooks, providing our customers with more flexibility and control over their actions.

With webhooks, you can receive real-time notifications about the status of the events you want to be alerted in your Kyriba application, without having to continuously poll the API or log into the Kyriba application for updates. This means you can now easily integrate Kyriba with your own systems and workflows, and automate tasks based on available events.

The Kyriba Webhook API covers the following events at launch:

  • process template task execution

  • third-party changes

  • payment routing status changes

  • supply chain finance documents approval / cancellation

Let’s take the example of process template task execution.

While API allows to trigger a process template task execution at any time and in real-time in contrast to FTP, you still have to poll information periodically on the status of the task execution before proceeding further.

This is summarized in the diagram below:

Now, the Kyriba Webhook API complements your workflow by sending you the notification when the task is executed.

This is summarized in the diagram below:

To begin using this feature, visit our Developer Portal to access additional resources. We have provided detailed documentation for this new API, including a video tutorial, a use-case, a sample tutorial, security guidelines, retry policies, and setup guides. In addition, we have also created a webhook notification dashboard that is linked with our Kyriba API Playground, allowing you to easily test and explore the feature in a secure environment.

We are excited to see what our customers will build with this new capability, and we look forward to continuing to empower you with the tools you need to optimize your treasury and finance operations. If you have any further questions or comments, feel free to leave us a message in our Forum.
